Second chance apartments in Fort Worth
Fort Worth renters spread out along I-35W, I-30, I-20 and Loop 820, from the Near Southside and the Stockyards to east Fort Worth, the Alliance area in the north and the neighborhoods toward Arlington. Like most of Texas, many communities there screen applicants with an automated report that weighs evictions, unpaid landlord balances and credit heavily.
A second chance apartment is a community that will look at the whole person behind that report. People search for them because the standard process often ends in a denial before anyone hears what happened, whether it was a job loss, a medical bill or a lease that had to be broken.
A new city does not mean a clean report
It is natural to hope that moving somewhere new means starting over. In practice, an eviction, a broken lease or money owed to a former landlord can show up on a screening report no matter which Texas city you apply in. The difference a move can make is in who reviews your application and whether someone is willing to consider your circumstances.
That is where a Counselor helps. Rather than guessing which communities might say yes, you work with someone who knows which Partner Properties consider applicants with a history like yours.
How Done Deal Cosign helps Fort Worth renters
Our Partner Properties in Fort Worth and the rest of the Metroplex work with us so applicants with a rough rental history get a real review. A Counselor looks at your situation one-on-one, including any eviction, broken lease, unpaid landlord balance or credit trouble, and matches you to Partner Properties where applicants like you are considered. We back your application, and you choose your apartment from those partners.
Done Deal Cosign has helped renters since 2014, with more than 10,000 approved. You work with us by phone and online, so you do not need to visit our Houston office.
- Call 713-992-3000 or fill out the form on this page.
- Complete the qualifying forms so a Counselor can review your history.
- Get your pre-approval decision and choose from our Partner Properties in Fort Worth or the Dallas area.
- Move in with your approval in hand.
Where our North Texas Partner Properties are
We have Partner Properties in Fort Worth, plus Dallas, Grand Prairie and Plano. The list changes as new partners join, so tell your Counselor where you work and how far you are willing to commute. They will tell you which Partner Properties fit both your history and your plans.
If you are also open to Greater Houston, where we have the most Partner Properties, your Counselor can include those options too.
Getting ready for the call
The more your Counselor knows, the better the match. Before you call from Fort Worth, gather proof of income and a government photo ID, and be ready to talk openly about every eviction, broken lease or balance owed to a landlord, including anything from outside Tarrant County. Surprises found later on a screening report slow everything down.
It also helps to share your timeline. If your current lease ends on a certain date or a new job starts on a certain day, say so. Your Counselor can explain how the qualifying forms and pre-approval decision fit that schedule, and which Partner Properties make sense for where you will work.
Who we can help
We work with second-chance renters: people with past evictions, broken leases, bad credit or unpaid landlord balances. Our general guideline is two or fewer rental issues, and every case is reviewed individually. Some Partner Properties also review non-violent records case by case. We never promise approval, and your Counselor will be straight with you about where you stand.
What it costs
There is an Initial Fee and a Lease Assurance Fee. The amounts depend on your history and the Partner Property's rates, and they are explained before you commit to anything. If you are not pre-approved within 7 days, the Initial Fee is refunded.
